Don’t Eat Diet Foods

Friday, May 7th, 2010

Diet foods are for fat people. And they will keep you fat unless you plan on staying on diet foods your entire life, which is not realistic or good.

You know those diet foods and programs. There are all different types. There’s those commercials were you order diet meals you microwave. These are those meal bars and shakes. This is a huge industry. Billions of dollars worth. If these diet food programs were successful then about 3 out of 4 Americans would not be overweight.

The vast majority of people who go on these diet foods will not be successful. Even if you pay attention to the ads where they show someone who has lost of weight, you will read “Results are not typical. Individual results will vary.”

Remember-Diet foods are for fat people. You will not lose a lot of weight and keep it off if you go on these diets.

First of all, have you seen the size of those so called “meal bars?” You almost need a microscope to see them. They are smaller than an appetizer. What person with a large appetite will be able to eat one of those minature meal bars and not be starving afterwards? That’s one reason these diets don’t work. People who try them starve so they end up eating like they are used to and feel like a failure. Don’t feel like a failure if you have tried one of these diets but haven’t been successful because it’s not realistic or healthy to eat some stupid tiny little bar for a meal. That’s not a real meal.

Secondly even if you are able to stick to one of these ridiculous diets and lose weight, as soon as you go back to real food you will gain back all the weight you lose. How many people have lost 10 pounds or so on one of these ridiculous diet food programs just to end up gaining 20 pounds?

It’s a merry-go-round. It’s a terrible and frustrating, never ending cycle. These products are made to make big money. And it’s working because it’s a multi billion dollar industry. If people were able to lose weight, keep it off and eat real food, they would go out of business.

If you want to lose weight and keep it off, steer clear of these diet foods. Stay far, far away. It’s about making lifestyle changes, not diet foods.

As unglamorous and boring as it sounds, fix yourself moderate portions of healthy food for meals. You won’t be starving afterwards like eating some little bar or some diet shake, it’s healthier, and cheaper and it works for the long term.

Instead of a meal bar that you can inhale in one bite for example, fix brown rice, baked fish, and a salad. That meal is very low fat, healthy, and won’t leave you hungry afterwards.

NEVER Eat or Drink High Fructose Corn Syrup Again-It’s Evil

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

High fructose corn syrup is evil. Yes it is. If you want the easiest way to help lose weight and be healthier, never eat or drink anything with high fructose corn syrup in it again. It can be hard to diet, hard to exercise, but changing your foods and drinks to ones without high fructose corn syrup isn’t that hard. All you have to do is read labels every time you shop-and if you see the dreadful “high fructose corn syrup”-stay far, away. Don’t let it in your body.

In my opinion the FDA should ban high fructose corn syrup. It’s nothing but bad, promotes obesity, contains mercury, and foods and herbs even with medical, health or other benefits have been banned by the FDA.

Arizona tea has high fructose corn syrup. Don’t buy Arizona tea, and let the Arizona tea company know you won’t buy their teas until it’s free of that poison called high fructose corn syrup. And I thought tea was one of the healthiest things you could ingest. But not if it has high fructose corn syrup. That totally cancels out any health benefits.

The obesity epidemic began after high fructose corn syrup was put into our foods and drinks. Coincidence? I think not. This was way before internet, video games, chat rooms and all that.

Having a hard time losing weight? It could be because you are eating or drinking a fair amount of high fructose corn syrup.

Most Americans don’t even know what high fructose corn syrup is or even bother reading labels. Parents feed their children high fructose corn syrup regularly without knowing any better.

And it’s everywhere. I mean tea is supposed to be healthy, but it’s even in tea! Not all tea of course, if you’re a tea drinker, it’s best to buy tea bags of your favorite kind of tea and brew it yourself. It contains nothing but tea leaves and perhaps herbs or fruits.

Ragu and Presto spaghetti sauce have high fructose corn syrup. Smuckers jelly and jam has high fructose corn syrup. It’s everywhere! In everything! You have to carefully read labels to make sure you’re not poisoning your body and making it difficult to lose weight and easy to gain weight or remain overweight. I only buy jam called “Kentucky’s finest” because it’s all natural. It simply has the fruit in it, plus sugar to sweeten it and then pectin. No high fructose corn syrup, no weird chemicals, artificial flavors, or stuff you can’t pronounce. When you  buy jelly or jam read the label to make sure there’s only 3 ingredients in it and no high fructose corn syrup.

If you’re trying to lose weight but it seems impossible, even though you try not to eat things like cake, chips, and candy bars and try to go on walks but still can’t shed any extra pounds, you probably wonder what’s wrong with you. Maybe your metablism is slow. Maybe you have some undiagnosed medical condition. Or it could be because you are ingesting high fructose corn syrup even if you don’t know it or know what that is because it promotes weight gain and obesity and makes it extra hard to lose any weight.

If you want to know more about HFCS, there is reading out there, including articles about it killing honey bees and containing mercury and much more. If you want you and your family to be healthier, never buy anything containing high fructose corn syrup again. (If you drink soda, bad news, it’s loaded with HFCS, so you really should find another drink)

Here is one article with a youtube ad about HFCS-
